Saridon Tablet is a mild analgesic which is used to alleviate pain associated with menstrual cramps and headache. The medicine may also help to alleviate the discomfort associated with fever. Uses and Benefits of Saridon:
There are several uses of administering Saridon Tablet.
- Saridon tablet is mainly used to alleviate headaches, backaches, toothaches, muscles and joint ache including arthritis, menstrual pain and ear pain.
- Saridon tablet is also used to reduce symptoms associated with fever as it contains paracetamol which is an antipyretic medicine.
- Saridon tablet may also be used to treat sore throats, cold, and flu symptoms.
- The medicine also provides a boost of energy since it contains caffeine.
Side Effects of Saridon:
Some of the most common side effects associated with the consumption of Saridon Tablet are -
- Abdominal pain
- Skin Rashes
- Heart palpitations.
- Saridon Tablet may cause mood changes like anxiety, restlessness and/or fussiness, and nervousness.
- Saridon tablet may cause a change in appetite and a change in sleep pattern like insomnia.
- Saridon tablet may also cause diarrhoea, swelling of the face, and may increase toxicity in the liver.
- An allergic reaction to Saridon tablet is also possible, which may cause severe skin rashes and itching.
This is not a complete list of side effects of Saridon tablet. If a patient experiences any of the above-mentioned side effects for a prolonged period, he/she must immediately consult a doctor.
Common Dosage of Saridon:
Saridon Tablet must be taken at the time and frequency prescribed by your doctor. However, for adults, this medicine may be prescribed to be taken in a dose of 1 tablet per day.
- Missed Dose : A missed dose of Saridon tablet must be taken as soon as it is remembered. If it is already the time to take the next dose, the previous dose must be skipped. It is advised to take the dose on time and the patient should not take an extra dose in order to make up for the missed dose.
- Overdose : Consuming more than the prescribed dose of medicine may do more harm than good to the body. The medicine may not work effectively to cure the condition it has been prescribed for. Therefore, overdosing of Saridon tablet must be avoided. Also, if an overdose is suspected, the patients must immediately consult a doctor.
Composition And Nature of Saridon:
Saridon Tablet consists of three main ingredients: Paracetamol, Propyphenazone and Caffeine.
Paracetamol and Propyphenazone are both analgesic and antipyretic in nature, with Propyphenazone bearing anti-inflammatory properties as well. Caffeine is a natural element that is obtained from tea leaves, cocoa beans, and coffee beans.

How to use Saridon?

- Saridon tablet should not be administered to treat children below the age of twelve years.
- The medicine must not be consumed along with alcohol as it may induce excessive drowsiness.
- Pregnant women must consume medicine only if deemed absolutely necessary by a doctor.
- This medicine should not be administered by patients who are allergic to the medicine’s ingredients.
- Patients with kidney problems should use Saridon tablet with caution as its prolonged consumption may worsen their health condition.

- Patients with the deficiency of Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase should not administer Saridon tablet, as it may lead to severe interactions.
